Solarsuit specialises in sun-protective clothing, providing a range of innovative products specifically designed for outdoor wear. The company began in 1991 when Susan Craig, Director of Solarsuit pioneered the sun protection market in Australia by inventing children’s neck-to-knee swimwear. Today, Solarsuit provides one of the most comprehensive ranges of sun protective clothing in the world.
We have a commitment to produce quality sun-protective products that deliver the highest level of sun protection and are designed with the highest regard for comfort and durability.
Solarsuit fabrics have been tested by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency to measure the Ultraviolet Protection Factor provided by these fabrics. They are rated UPF 50+ which is the highest rating category in accordance with the Australian Standard for sun-protective fabrics AS/NZS 4399

Solarsuit swimwear made from Chloresist is chlorine-resistant and is the ideal swimwear for the beach or pool. Chloresist is made only from fibres that are designed to withstand the damaging effects of chlorine and is totally elastaine free.
After exposure to ultraviolet light, salt water and chlorine, Chloresist will resist fibre breakdown, maintain its shape and original UPF rating, with minimal or no colour variation.

Solarsuit activewear made from Solarcool featherweight fabric is the ideal garment for outdoor wear for work, sport or leisure. It features a unique moisture management system which draws sweat through the fabric and allows it to evaporate outside, keeping your skin dry. An anti-microbial agent is built into the fabric to provide long-lasting freshness. This anti-microbial inhibits the growth of bacteria, maintaining garment freshness and reducing odours, wash after wash.
